Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 107:1

Thankfulness starts with remembering how good God is. A grateful heart sees God's love everywhere.

Try it: Start a gratitude jar: write one thing you are thankful for and drop it in.

Thankful for Family

And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

Our families are a gift from God, even when things are not perfect. We can thank God for the people who care for us.

Try it: Tell each family member one thing you appreciate about them, then add a note to the jar.

A friend loves at all times. Proverbs 17:17

God gives us friends to share life with. Good friends are a wonderful reason to say thank You to God.

Thankful for God's Creation

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1

The mountains, oceans, stars, and animals all show how amazing God is. Creation is a gift to enjoy and care for.

Try it: Go outside and find three things in nature you are thankful for.

Thankful for Daily Bread

Give us today our daily bread. Matthew 6:11

God provides what we need, day by day. Even a simple meal is a reason to be grateful.

Try it: Before a meal, name three foods you are thankful for, then add a note to the jar.

Thankful in Hard Times

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

We can be thankful even when things are tough, because God is always with us. Gratitude helps our hearts find peace.

Try it: Think of one hard thing, and find one good thing inside it to thank God for.
